Engine Code 740. Anybody else getting this?



Per the Service Manual the P0740 code is for Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) is out of range. Possible causes:
Related DTC P0750 present
L/R-TCC Solenoid
TCC Switch valve stuck
TCC Regulator valve stuck
Input shaft seal ring cut
Torque converter and/or internal transmission

Check if your repair facility has access to a Service Manual which will provide further details on troubleshooting issue.

Thanks for the reply Dodge.
As far as I know the shop does have the manuals and decided to try the flush before going to the TCC and or solenoid.
No other codes were set.

Are you the original owner of the truck?, you have LIFETIME warranty on the powertrain if you are...also those few that I know that had that code needed clutch packs or converter...I know it is too soon....

Transmission stuck in 4th gear....happened this afternoon...anybody have this problem?

 

Well $1800.00 later the torque converter and pump replaced and no code.
Noticeable change just in regular driving.
Dodge really needs to look at beefing up these transmissions or at least the components.
