How hard would it be to convert the 2wd to a 4wd? Obviously I will need the transfer case... what else is need? how much will it cost? is it even possible? LOL

Anything is possible with enough money, but long story short, you'd be better off trading in your truck for a 4x4.

id be cheaper to buy a new truck.

You would need:

new overdrive unit
Tcase
front and rear driveshafts
front axle
control arms
steering knuckels
new hubs
floor shifter
i can keep going if you like

anything is possible with the right amount of money...... so far i see you would need transcase front diff. half shafts if you stay with ifs and not a solid axel swap. struts to replace the front coils. the selector know for the 4x4 and prolly some other stuff. you should beable to still use the factory steering knuckles and hubs so that would save some money

There is no easy solution for this like the Chevy's have. It ends up being a very custom job which means big bucks.

if your trying to make it like factory, then yeah. You could have it old school. Solid axle w man hubs and man transfer case. the real prob is fabbing up the front suspension and getting it straight. It'll take money, but what will it cost for YOU to get a 4x4? Compare that to what the swap would take. But it will be easier to start with a 4x4. Would be cool though.
