White Smoke Coming from my Engine

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum. Glad to join and be a part of Dodge owners.

I have a 2004 Dodge Dakota Truck. It has automatic transmission. The engine is a V6 3.7 L. It is the Quad Cab version.

When I turn on the vehicle, white smoke comes out of the right side of the engine (passenger side). I don't know that it is. I've checked the following:

-There's no white smoke coming from the tailpipe.

- The engine oil is clean. Do not resemble chocolate. In other words, there is no coolant mixed with it.

- The anti-freeze/ coolant is clean. It is not mixed with engine oil.

- The vehicle is not overheating.

- The white smoke does not have a sweet smell.

When I turn off the vehicle, I can hear something sizzling on the right side of the engine. A friend told me that it might be the valve cover gasket that is leaking oil and the oil is hitting the hot exhaust pipe; therefore, the white smoke. I don't know if I should have done this, but I replaced the valve cover gasket. It was a pain, but I did it. Still, there is white smoke coming out of the right side.

Based on some of the information that I found on the Internet, it might be a blown head gasket, but my vehicle doesn't show the symptoms of a blown head gasket. I might be mistaken since I'm not a mechanic. I prefer to ask the experts (you all). Any advice?

Thanks.

you can do or have a coolant leak test done to confirm if the head gasket is the culprit, http://www.superstreetonline.com/how-to/engine/impp-1108-blown-head-gasket-diagnostic/ here is the link that shows how and with what tools needed, you can do this your self, kit may cost but it will let you know if the head gasket is leaking coolant into the cylinder, mine did and this is what I used to confirm it, I had to change my head gasket, and I did both since all was apart.
