I have a 1974 Rockwood Class C camper. with a 318 engine. it came with the "owners manual" for models 100/300 would I be correct to assume that because it has dual wheels on the rear that it is a 300? tried checking on the serial tag and it says it is a F30. best info I can find on that means that it was sold as a van front and flat bed to the rockwood company to be built into a motorhome but I can not find where it says "if you need to order parts for this then it is a....." cause nobody knows what an F30 is from 1974.

sorry ranting there.

Back to the torque question...if it is a B100 wheel torque is 65-85 lbs if it is a B300 then Wheel nut torque is 300-350 lbs (big difference) the tire place that just replace all six of my tires torqued it to 165 lbs.

Thanks

B-300's with single rear wheels use the same 1/2" lugnuts as a B-100. Dual rear wheels use lugnuts that are larger than this therefore need to be tighter. (Not sure on spec.)
I believe the "F" chassis uses most of the same parts as a B-300 van with exception of the dual rear axle. As you say the front is a cut-away B-300 van.

Thanks for the quick response. I just got off the Phone with my local dodge dealer and indeed it is 300 - 350 foot lbs on the dual wheel B300. WOW that is a lot of torque! Good thing I only drove about 140 kms after the new tire install. will get it tightened before going far!
