2005 1500 Ram. When I start the truck after its been cold outside, for the first time. Cold I mean 35 degrees and below. It will need no pressure, even after 20 seconds. Shut the truck off and restart it will read normal. Is this something I should just deal with? Or a much bigger problem?

Check the connection at the oil pressure sending unit. Ive read about this problem before and most came down to bad connection or faulty sensor. My 05 hemi has randomly done this for a couple years nows and i havent had a any issues arise from it. When it does it, i just turn truck off, then restart and go.

X2 ... agreed. I'd start by replacing the sending unit and checking the connection.

If you're poor after xmas, you can clean the sending unit with wd40 (1001 uses;) ) and check the connection (the most likely culprit). Anyway, If your really worried you can check it with a mechanical guage or take a valve cover off & watch at first startup. Both options would require a parka and gloves.
The stock oil pressure guage is more of an idiot guage, it just reads yes or no. Sux, It limits how I can monitor my engine.
Also, use a quality 5-30 synthetic. I am a huge believer in synth. lubes:worthy:.
