There is a factory duct that directs the air over to the right side, where a CAI is. It is kind of pricey- around $300. makeitmopar has them.

 

I believe Volant now makes a kit to make the hood truly functional.

I plan on getting a srt10 hood in a few months , and already have a cai, i worry about the ram air, what about rain, etc, getting into the engine?

 

I also asked that question to Joe Martins at Hambeck's. He told me that in two years they haven't had any rain or snow issues with the SRT kit.

 

I don't have either of those hoods, but mine has zero water issues. There is a small hole drilled at the end of the air path that lets water run out. I have gone through several high pressure touchless car washes and barely had a drop of water on my filter.
