No pitfalls.
Easy to do.especially if your tranny needs a flush and filter change.
Firmer,quicker shifts.
Only downside is that they wont do it for free.LOL.

The only thing that sucked was the connecter on the drivers side. It's the white connector and its a bugger to get off. ANd make sure your gear linkage thing is lined up bofore u bolt everything up. i didn't and i had to drain my fluid again and redo all the steps to do it again.

Go for it... its worth EVERY PENNY! Its Not a shift kit... its a modified Valve body that will give you firm hard shifts... the way they should be.

Did he do the StageI or StageII valve body?

Also, the great thing about the Sharadon Valve body is it shifts fairly soft under light throttle... but under WOT it staps very hard... unlike any shift kit I have ever used.

I wrote a how to and a little review on it here. You have the same tranny as my Dakota 545rfe. There is also before and after video in this thread. I now have superchips and i havent been able to make a new vid of it after the computer tune. Its even better now!! Limited torque managment

WOW, is one any better then the other?
The stage 3 shifts much harder. If you dont mind neck snapping shifts, then the stage 3 is the way to go. It is the best for performance.

The stage 2 is much better than stock, but the shifts are not as firm as the stage 3.

so i cause if they are the same cost and one is better. Then I would be dumb if I didnt get the stage III. haha

Man I hate this site, just when I think that I can take a break and save money......

The only reason why someone would buy the stage 2 instead of the stage 3 is if they just dont want a shift that is "too" harsh...if there is such a thing...haha
