rpm jump while cruise is on

I saw mention in another thread someone asking if someones engine jumped in rpm's while cruise was on, but this wasnt a problem they had. I, however, do have this problem. What is the cause?? I never noticed it until i began a long road trip from Texas to Michigan. When I finally put cruise on and noticed it I became worried, it seemed the tranny was slipping or something and I just knew I was gonna get stranded lol. Thanks in advance for whatever answer I get.

Thanks for the info, also have another question I just thought of heh. When I come to a stop I notice a drop in oil pressure. I have never noticed my truck doing this before and it drops well below 40, into the range of 15-25 probably.
