Wouldn't you have been better off with a RC if you wanted to do a pre-runner?

In my opinion for what you are wanting to do is not a bad idea, it is your truck it should look how you want it but, i think you should at it a different way.

Don't drop the rear at all. you should keep it the same or lifted about 2 inches, you could accomplish that with some other those lift/lower blocks they sell at the auto parts store for like 20 bucks or something.

Now, to offset the raise in the rear or if you left it stock just find a set of spindles that will raise the front at least 2 or 3 inches HIGHER than the rear. Pre-runners, or the trophy truck style suspension i think looks the best when the whole truck is lifted just, w/ the reverse rake. Especially on a quad cab lowering it since it is so long will make look REALLY low in the rear and wont get the look that you want.

then slap on a tubular front bumper about 5 hella lights and you are all done. I think that would look pretty damn bad ass if you ask me.

ok so ur saying if i get the 4 in spindle and do nothing to the rear and then go to a fab shop have them make me a pre runner bumper, but with the pre runner bumper should i get my old bumper takin off??

well, if you can go higher i would. If it were me I would take the bumper off have the PR bumper welded and mounted then, weld in panels to cover of sheet metal or diamond plate which ever you choose and install them to cover certain areas that would look funny otherwise, you know just kinda have fun with it.

Jon, for the first time in a long time (other than your taillight covers) I'm going to completely have to disagree with you. Will it be unique? Sure. Is it what you want? Yep. So in those two cases, do it. But I also saw you said something about doing it because it's what everyone likes??? So will you actually use it as a pre-runner? If not, it's a waste, in my opinion. Also, when I look at that photoshop, all I see is a truck with ten bags of crete in the back...

But hey...if it's what you really want for the truck, do it. I'm in no way against a unique truck...

well, I wasnt sure what kind of budget he had. I figured he was a bargain guy like us. You have seen my truck and know what I like, we have pretty similar taste. I was trying to put myself in his shoes with knowledge I have, I mean I am by no means a dodge guru but, you know what I mean. As you know to I just love to help people with these trucks.

I wasn't sure about the bumper thing, but the one you listed I think would work well and that rear tire mount is freakin cool.

That's kind of a shot at me now isn't it? No, I don't think a prerunner QC is a good idea, HOWEVER, I accepted that you actually want to do it and actually took time out of my day to research the parts that have been proven to work well...I think the stance, front bumper with lights, and especially the tire carrier in the bed kind of epitomizes the look you're after, doesn't it? Next time I'll just state my opinion and leave it that...but "wutever man."
