A couple days ago i was driving through a few feet of water, no big deal right. Anywho, now when i drive my truck i hear a constant loud clicking coming from the front end up my truck when i drive, and it gets faster with speed. It sounds like its coming from the right side, probably the front right wheel. Now when i start to take a turn, or i am making a turn the clicking stops until the wheels are pointed straight again, then it starts right back up. It started doing it even worse after i took it to the carwash and washed it, but im not sure. It sounds awful if i have the windows open, i can just imagine it sounds like shit from outside of the truck. anywho what could this be, how much work is it going to be to fix it, and how much is it going to cost? ideas are wanted please. Thanks!

Possible wheel bearing. Get it checked out SOON! If you detroy your bearings, you are looking at $200 min on a hub and beariing assembly.

It is the axle u joint. It is shot. I can move it around easily with my hand. It also appears that axle seal is gone. Can someone tell me how much this is going to be to fix, and how much work? Do you think my best option is going to a junk yard and looking for parts? Thanks.

get the parts from the local shop. they are not expensive. the work can be done yourself. a haynes manual will help you through. oh and by the way, getting the axle nut and hub out is gonna be fun, you just got to keep fighting it since its never been taken apart before since it was made.

never go to a junk for something like that, go to a parts store

Here's a tip:

To get the hub/bearing assembly out (after you've taken the axle nut off) loosen the 3 bolst on the backside that hold the hub on. Don't take them all the way out. Instead, take the socket that fits over the bolt, and a hammer of some sort and thump the socket. Switch bolts and thump it again. After a bit the hub should loosen.
