Is this an upgrade?

Hi there, I currently have the stock infinity HU, stock dash speakers, stock rear speakers, alpine 4 channel amp(75x4) powering the front infinity reference 6x9 speakers and 12w0 JL sub in center console box 1cf...

Now I just bought another amp, an alpine 600rms amp @ 2 ohms, a diamond audio D3 12" sub (dual 2ohm vc so it will get 400 RMS, this sub is going to replace the jl 12w0) and infinity reference 3.5" speakers for the dash (powered by oem HU). with the 4 channel amp Im gonna bridge it to the front 6x9 speakers...

So basically im upgrading the sub, increasing power to it from 150 watts rms to 400 rms, the front door infinity speakers will get 150 rms a piece instead of 75watts rms...

Would I notice the improvement? I will install it sometime this week or next week...

THX in advance...

Since you're doubling power, and not increasing cone area, you will get just about 3 decibels louder. This is the smallest unit of measure that a human can notice a difference, so "Yes" you will notice a slight difference.

(That is, if the D3 sub will work in your enclosure)

Its actually a diamond audio CM3 12" sub, not the d3 I mentioned earlier, my mistake...

I was gonna get a JL 12w3v3 for $250, but saw this diamond audio cm3 New in Box for $75 so I just bought it to test it, if not I can probably sell it easy, buy a 12w3v3 2ohm version and send to it 600rms from the same alpine amp, because the diamond audio sub is a dual 2 ohm, so I can only play it a 4ohm with my amp so it wil get 400 rms...
