Hey guys. I jumped in the truck to leave work today and the truck long cranked today.....cranked once for 3 sec and didn't fire. Followed it up with a 5 second and it did. Just did plugs two days ago and went with stock champions. I did start and shut it off twice real fast this morning...maybe 5 seconds then it sat for 8 hours. Is this a fluke or have you guys had this too? Hasn't done it sfter multiple attempts later in the day. Maybe time for a fuel filter?

sounds like you are loosing pressure in the system and the fuel pum has to re prime, in the morning bump the key to start and leave it in the on position the pump should run for 25 sec. or you can do the 3-4 key cycle, to do this turn the key to the on position DO NOT CRANK and wait 4 sec. cycle of then back on, repeat 5 times, if it does not start the first time you have somthing else going on

unless you added one i dont remember us having one, there is a strainer in the tank on the pump and on some models a pressure regulater on top of the pump assembly that acts as a check valve and has a built in filter
