Im sorry if this has been in discussion but im thinking of buying one of these soon. i just need to verify its worth my money before going through with it. First i have the 4.7 and i called flex a lite to see if it would work they said it should as long as my coolant/washer fluid reservoir was a single unit. Next will it actually help hp/torque? Does it come complete with everything needed for install and is a 180 t stat needed? Lastly has anyone bought the setup from amazon for around 250.00?

No, the $250 would be just the e-fan and maybe it might come with a controller. You can do the shroud delete but I'm not sure if Moe's Performance sell them any more. A number of members have found bottles to replace the factory ones and made their own delete kit. As for the 180 t-stat, you only need that if you plan to use a programmer tuner on the engine.

So i contacted amazon and they said they get the 183 fan assembly from flex a lite and that i will receive it exactly the same as if i ordered it from flex a lite. she said if there is any issues they will pay for return shipping plus full refund. so im gonna try it friday and when i receive it i will let everyone know what happens. but between now and friday if anyone else has any suggestions or dislikes on the 183 please let me know.

thanks

I have the 180 that fits inside the stock shroud. The kit came with a controller, wire and terminals. Simple install and it all still looks stock. As far as performance I've had no issues. I have it wired to the battery so it still cycles on and off after the truck is shut down. Been a few months and no issues. As far as the butt dyno I haven't noticed much but im sure its freeing up some hp. I have a 180 tstat and the temp gauge never rises above 1/4. My opinion is thtlat its a worthwhile investment.

Good luck

The Black Magic Xtreme Series e-fan is one of the most favored fan since Dodge doesn't make the Viper Truck fan any more. The 4Gen folks can use the Ram V6 fan and it's just a simple plug-n-play but it doesn't work with the 3Gen trucks. You get it setup, you'll like how quite and how much better the engine runs.

I have it an I love it so far cant tell a difference tho cause i put it in about 3 weeks after i did my gears, but it cleaned up the engine bay tho an thats what i wanted. On the instructions it says it fits the 3.7, 4.7 an 5.7 liter motors

So i put the 183 fan in my amazon cart for 250.00ish was gonna order tomorrow then i got a notice from amazon stating that the price went up to about 330.00ish what a bunch of BS. I just wonder since their price jumped that much did other companies raise their price as well? Who knows, just my luck.

Like mentioned, the fan does come in its own shroud, and includes the brackets needed to mount the factory coolant/washer fluid tank. It also comes with wiring and an adjustable temp controller that allows you to set the fan to come on anywhere between 160-240*. I have 6 of these in stock right now, so I can get this out for you today if the order is put in my 3pm. Let me know if you have any questions.

This is on my list. I wanted to do in last winter, but the timing wasn't right. Maybe this year I can do it over thanksgiving or Christmas brake. I am just concerned with the whole wiring thing and removing the stock fan assembly. I would toss the shroud to free up some space under the hood.

As for ordering from Moes, thats what I will be doing. I want to get the Sharadon Stage 3 VB and he has the best price around, plus I can keep my OEM one incase I ever want to swap it back.
