Do 295/65R20s fit on stock rims with no rubbing?

I'm trying to make a tire size decision and wondered if the 295/65R20s would fit on the stock rims without the need of a spacer, which I just flat out refuse to do. I also want to keep my stock wheels, so rock|me|hard place .

There is a member here that is running the same setup, but his wheels are different than mine and so I wondered what the specs on his wheels are? Here is a pic of his truck...

I have the chrome clad 20's, so I wondered if I'd be able to squeeze them on like he was?

Oh, and I should clarify. I don't particularly care if they rub some at full lock etc., I just mean if they can physically roll without hitting any suspension parts.

I'm running them on a rim with 5.25" backspacing, levelkit and 1.25 body lift. I only rub if Im cutting the wheel hard and hitting a bump or pothole. I'd be a bit worried with stock backspacing. Of course it's up to you what you order however, another good size that I was looking at that I would have went with if I wasnt planning on lifting a little more is 285/65r20. They would be just a bit (as in about 3/8" or so narrower) and I think around 34.5 high. That would help a little bit with your lack of backspacing and stock height + level. Here's a pic of a truck that I believe is running them with a 2.5" level.

They're a nice looking size for a levelled truck.

I'm going to guess that the truck in your pic is running a spacer. I dont know for a fact, but I havent heard of anyone running them yet on stock without one.

Thanks for the info. I have found a couple posts where he (Bubba_Hemi) says he has no spacer. I think he is deployed right now :)gr_patrio) so no real way to get confirmation. I've found posts of people running up to a 35x12.5R20 claiming they work ok on the stock wheels.

Those were some of the trucks i was referencing earlier. Just trying to get a definitive answer on it.

Good research. Keester would be a good one to ask (pm). I know he was running spacers, so there might have been a reason. The trail grapplers are actually a bit higher than a regular 35, but they are also narrower than most 35's which helps some too. The ones Thor had on his truck were the old style, and if I'm not mistaking, I think those had a little different backspacing (whether more or less, I don't remember). Anyway, I see there are guys running them there too that say no spacers no problems, so it could be hit or miss I guess. I know my boss and I both have 4G ram sports and straight from the factory, his was 1 higher in the front than mine was, so obviously that varriable would play into it too. Either way, like I said earlier in this post, you'd probably get good info from keester.

If you do decide to go with the trail grapplers, I got mine shipped to the door for $347 each, I am not sure if thats real good or not, but if you can't find a better deal, pm me and I can give you the website.

I chose the 295/65-20 specifically to run my stock rims (3rd generation 20x9 with 5.75" backspace - flat spoked ones) until I could afford new rims. I ran a few months with NO wheel spacers after my lift but they were very close to my lifted steering knuckles because they stuck out further than the stock steering knuckles. I did eventually buy 1/4" wheel spacers from rough country and they have been working great with no vibrations or issues.

Keester ran fine with no spacers with just a leveling kit.

I just had these 295/65/20 trail grapplers put on my 20x9 factory chrome clads this past weekend. I do have Bilstein 5100s set at 2.8 to help clear them. They do slightly rub the upper control arm at full lock.

Loving them so far though! they make alittle noise but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected.
