A few days ago my check engine light came on. Did the key trick and got P 0308 (cylinder 8 misfire). So i figured I'd go ahead and change my plugs. Installed all 16 plugs yesterday (PITA) and cleaned my TB while I was at it, which wasn't too bad. Today, after detailing my truck, I notice the light was on again! Checked the code and it's the same P 0308 as before. I'm thinking it might be a bad coil because the wires looked fine when i changed my plugs. Any input from yall would be appreciated.. Thanks :help:

Swap the coil with another cylinder and see if it follows the coil.

Ok, swapped cylinder 8 coil with cylinder 2 earlier today. Disconnected battery to clear the check engine light and now the light is gone. So if there is a problem with that coil I should get a cylinder 2 misfire? As of right now, the light hasn't come back on. Maybe it was just a bad connection somewhere?
