Boosting 5.2 Magnum

Ok, this 2001 5.2 Magnum really seems like it would benefit for a turbocharger. Nothing crazy, maybe 4-8psi max ...just enough to make the V8 produce about as much power as a base model civic at the wheels. (kidding, kind of.)

My history is with 5.0 Mustangs and boosting those was pretty easy. As long as it wasn't an early 'speed density' system, those would refrence boost and usually work well with little more than larger injectors and an ECM flash on the dyno.

About this Magnum setup, is it about the same? Will it recognize boost and adjust fuel accordingly (up to the limits of the injectors of course) or is the fuel injection just not compatable? 5.0s came with puny 19lb/hr injectors, even stock longblocks with bolt-ons really needed 24lb/hr injectors so it wasn't uncommon to use upwards of 36lb/hr units with 10ish psi of boost.

Fabbing up the turbo and actually delivering compressed atmosphere to the throttle body isn't hard, I just don't know if the electronics that control the engine will respond well. Thoughts?

Thanks for any input members who KNOW can provide. :D

Thanks for the input. Is there a certain MSD that you'd suggest? Any particular brand/type of injector that is better? I know there was a big difference on 'stangs but they don't seem to offer injectors for this mopar :WHT:
