We recently got a 99 dodge ram laramie and are having problems with the AC blowing hot. Got one of the cans with the gauge on it but it read 105 psi with the ambient temp at 90 so we didnt try to add freon. When you turn on the ac you can feel the pull of the compressor kicking on but when I stood in front to hear it, it never cycled. Could it have been over-filled? Where do we even start?

if it was over filled(depending on how much) It would have cut off. There are two pressure switches in the system one high and one low. if there is a to low or high pressure situation it will cut out the compressor. You probably have just enough freon in the system to get it to kick on but not enough to get cold. There is leak in the system and even if you had enough freon in the can it will leak out again. Take it someplace that will find the leak fix it and fill the system.
