called mancini and they have a crank for me, so once i can get a bore, they will balance the rotating assembly and ship it to me... and then hopefully the engine will be rolling along by that point..

also, this engine is in pretty damn good shape for 300k+ miles on it, only damage was one broken ring!

Shes gonna be "BAD-AZZ" when your done!!!

Are you gonna "MOD" the engine compartment????...i.e. New paint etc...

If so what color???...What color you going with on the block????

the block will be street hemi orange...

and the engine compartment, we are gonna weld up all the holes that we no longer need... and really try to clean it up as best as we can.. and paint it black.. havent decided if it will be flat or shiny though.

update:

mancini racing is in the process of balancing my .030 over, 416 stroker kit... with a custom made forged callies crank, h-beam eagle rods, and dished forged pistons... Figure it will be about 10 days before i actually have it received from them, but in the mean time, I knocked all the freeze plugs out of my block, and pressure washed the block and heads, and everythign else. Got lots of stuff that i'd like to sell for cheap, including a 670 holley truck avenger carb, original 340 forged crank, original 340 forged rods, original bore 340 forged pistons, original 340 oil pan and pump/pickup, original 340 windage tray, rv cam, heavy duty 3 core radiator (72-76 pickup) and fan shroud, 72-80 truck overflow tank, 72-80 truck wiper fluid tank, and an Edelbrock SP2P318 intake manifold, and a set of headers... Everything is for sale, and i want to get rid of it as soon as possible.

heres pictures of the block, pictures of the stuff i need to sell in following posts.

Yea, you definatly need to keep us updated. What is the cost for the 416 stroke kit?

the kit is from ManciniRacing and it costs $2050. A similar kit from hughes engines was gonna cost me almost $2300!

I'm gonna port and polish the J heads... would like to put on a set of aluminum edelbrocks or even mopar W2s if i could get ahold of them. but of course, money does limit what i can do.

I had also planned on doing a hydraulic roller cam and valvetrain, but may just settle for a bigger cam and new lifters for now.

Do you have pics/price of the headers, and will they fit a 318/auto?
