I don't think there is any rarity in your truck but it would be a shame to see a good Dodge go to the scrap yard if it's still servicable. A few years down the road when all those electronics on new trucks are obsolete and unavailable our old trucks that can easily run without all that stuff are going to be something to hold on to (my opinion).

Nothing rare, nothing special. But please don't give it up to the gubmint. The 81+ make good parts trucks, my '77 has a bit of '86 in it. (Bottom of the fenders, wheel arches, rockers, floorboard and various little parts. $600 parts truck saved me a lot of money

Keep in mind----the government is not gonna give you anything for it.
I will be me, and everyone else in the country that works for a living.

Sooner people realize, the subsidized tree huggers want all of our older paid for autos off the road so there will be no parts to repair them, the better off we will be.

I have never traded a car into a dealer---probably never will.
When I am done with it, someone else will buy it from me, or I will scrap it.

and I have not sent a car to the crusher since 1986, and that was just outta sheer spite----the car overheated one too many times.

Start it up and shift it in neutral--it's not the same as Park--and let it run for a while. After 5, 10 minutes, drop it in Drive and see if it goes.
