my friend is getting ready to sell his 17" wheels and 265 nittos and wanted to know if the bolt pattern was the same?? if not can i get an adapter???

Assuming he also has a 1500 Ram then yes. If he's got a 2500 then your S.O.L.

I replaced my stock steel wheels with a set of 17" painted aluminum wheels same bolt pattern no problem. By the way, they are now for sale w/ original tires 22000 miles on the tires. Once I have some pictures I'll be posting them in the classifieds. (You can see them in my gallery if interested.)

1998 two wheel drive fords had 5-135 pattern that year. I believe that is the equivelent to your Ram's 5-5½".

Even if the bolt pattern is the same the backspacing might not be. If he's your friend maybe he let you try one on for fit.
