Whining sound in 99 Dodge Caravan SE

I am new here and I apologize if this has been posted somewhere already. I have been searching and reading through all the post but haven't found anything related yet.

I was driving the other day at around 120km/h and I noticed a faint whining noise coming from the engine compartment on the drivers side. The noise seems to rev up with the RPM's. It almost sounds like a jet engine (but not as loud obviously). I also notice there is a very slight rattling sound, almost sounds like a handful of coin rattling. The noise appears to be coming from the drivers front side.

The noise is only there when driving, it seems to change according to RPM's and when the transmission shifts gears.

If I am driving down the road it seems to only appear when I accelerate or when I am slowing down and the transmission downshifts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am lost as to where to start to look for this.

Thanks in Advance
Brian

I would check to see if flex-plate had crack. Low fluid levels in trans.
Could also be in trans axle.
Any chance of running front wheels of ground? See if noise is eazer to find.
Just be carefull
