I'm relatively new to the truck world (I've owned an 07 2500 for about 4 years) and am looking for some advice on upgrading to a bigger truck for towing large horse trailers. I've heard horror stories about pretty much every type of truck (mostly Fords so I don't want a Ford) and am wondering what is the best year of 3500 for towing large heavy loads that can be purchased for around $25,000? Which ones get the best fuel milage, best brakes, etc? Like I said, I don't know a lot about trucks and am looking for some honest advice to keep my horses safest going down the road, so you may have to word it in kid terms but any advice is appreciated! I dont require anything fancy on the interior/exterior I just need a strong hauling truck.
Thanks in advance!
