Where are my spark plugs?

I know I'm going to get some criticism for this, but where are the spark plugs on the 3.7? I will upload two photos of my (very dirty) engine and was hoping someone could either describe to me where they are or maybe circle them.

Sorry for the dumb question but my old truck had bright red spark plug wires running to them so they were a little more obvious. :D

The first picture is of the right side and the second is of the left. Thanks in advance.

they are those little plugs, just remove the bolts and then you should see the plugs down on the bottom. then take your socket and remove. after all have been done, FREAKIN WASH YOUR ENGINE!!!!!

Wash the engine first! That way you won't get any dirt down in the spark plug holes when you remove the spark plugs.

wash your engine and you wont have to ask where the plugs are! lmao

I would wash my engine, but with my luck I'd short it out and it would some how catch of fire and blow up while I'm in it probably paralyzing me. Or maybe I'm just lazy and have made up what I just said because I'm....lazy. :)

Thanks for you posts though. Time to take the coil overs off (and wash engine).

Alright, I found them. Those things are really down in there aren't they. I wonder who thought up the whole "coil-over" design. Thanks for all the replies. :dtrocks:

Ahh they aren't too far in there, and to me having coilovers makes this easier because you don't have to route wires all over the engine bay. Forgot to add, I can see the coils in your pics, not hard to get to at all when standing on the step above the front bumper :)

Please, please wash your engine, there are a few good posts on here about how to do it so that you don't short anything out. Trust me on that, you'll be fine if you take your time and go about it cautiously. You will be so happy you did it, you won't know what to do with yourself, and I can say, take pics afterwards so we can all congratulate you for taking that step :)

I will be washing mine soon as well :) although its got nothing on you as far as being dirty.

I was under the impression that if there was dirt all over it, it might grow a few more cylinders. Or am I thinking about plants. :D

Is that an old boot wrapped around your intake pipe? Get some eimple green brother. Get a gallon of it.
:thatfunny No, it's an insulated wrap that Jegs.com sells. Now that I look at the pictures I may need two gallons of simple green.

that is the first insulation I've seen that requires a boot lace,,,,,I've got some checkered shoelaces from some converse I had back in the 80's if you want them. give it that "racey" look. hehehehehe

I figured that the blue would go well with that nice brown engine but now that I think about it, the checkered would look racey. That is until I got some of that pretty engine dirt on them. :)

someone smarter than you ;)

the ignition coil design is far superior to any other ignition system out there.

It's also a pain in the....well you know. I've never seen an engine where the spark plugs are burried six inches down in an engine. But if it's supposed to work better than sweet. ;)
