yea i was pulling the heads off a old 5.7L tripped over some tools and drop one of the heads on the ground... what it did is where the value cover bolts in it nocked a chip out... the gap is in on the conner of it and is about half an inch long.i still have th peace the came out but there is no hope for it is there?

If its a mating surface you can just have a good cast aluminum welder do the work to fix it. My heads had an intake manifold flange bust off of them, the guy welded it on for me and machined down the mating surface, good as new!
Only cost $40 too
