what size bulbs are for the rear plate? i want to change mine to a darker color somthing not as bright. any suggestions?

You don't say which truck, but they're probably all the same. Lamp type is 168. Be aware the local constabulary may take a dim view (pun intended) of an improperly illuminated tag.

its for a 05 1500
