yea... I am in the same boat.... you can NOT go by what the guys at Discount Tire tell you.... I was supposed to with a wheel tire combo that weighed 59 lbs... turned out to be 69 lbs... POed.... I am runnning 305/45/18 Nitto 555r Drag Radials with a 9 inch wide MB Motoring Precise wheel.... the Nittos minimum recommended width was 9.5 and I thought I could get away with a 9 inch as I could not find anything 9.5 wide or a 10 even.. I am not very satisfied with the way the tire works with the wheel... I cannot lower the pressure enough to get the tire to run evenly on the pavement... so I will eventually change over to a 10 wide rim...
Yea, I'd like to find a 18x10 wheel thats decent in weight, also I don't think I need to run full slicks, some nice sticky nitto's would probably do the trick for my mods, but the slicks might actually be cheaper.
