My Dakota that I bought about 3 weeks ago has a constant, loud "squeaking noise" coming from the front drivers side. It must be something to do with the suspension.

Well I bought this truck at a Chevy dealer, so it only came with a one month warranty. I took it in about 2 days ago. I talked to the dealer today and he said that it is over at the Dodge dealer because the problem was a recall that had not been fixed on that truck. He is just the salesman though and didn't know exactly what it was.

Anyone have any ideas on what it could be? I have to wait until monday before I can get my truck since the dealer is closed one weekends.

Thanks,
David

Sounds like the control arm bushing ,spraying it with a silicon spray, usually works.

You can go HERE and see if there are any outstanding recalls on your vehicle.

the ball joints do not have grease fittings on the front ends of thoses truck. I should know since I have a 01 dakota. Maybe this will help you?

Bad balljoints don't squeak though ,they'll cluck when you turn sharp or your wheel may fall off ,but no squeak.
