ok i have a noise coming from front end when i turn the steering wheel either way or hit a bump it makes a real squeaking noise kinda like a squeaking spring is what it sounds like.. can anyone help me with what could be the problem thanks
On the end of your torsion bar up front there are two connecting links that hold the bar to the frame. I've replaced both mine. They were badly rusted inside the boots.
mine look okay... but i noticed when truck is still i can jump up and down on front bumper and heard that sqeaking noise also if this might help.. thanks
there is a horizontal bar in the middle of the auto transmission shifting linkage that has nylon/plastic bushings that are prone to squeak. its where the up/down shifting rod transfers to the front/back rod that goes to the transmission. the bushings are on the ends of the horizontal rod. lay down under the truck and have someone push on the truck and see if you can find it. if thats it, apply a lot of white lithium or wheel brg grease to those bushings. this drove me crazy before i found it.
same thing with mine 99 dodge 1500 70,000 miles..thanks also for the help ill get it looked at asap..and is it anything that will cause future damage if not fixed soon?
