[Dodge Ram Hemi]

Hi, i have a dodge ram 1500 5.7hemi 4x4 '04 and i have done a 10inch suspension lift and 40/15.5R22 toyo tires. I want to know what gears i must put in the axles. I'm from belgium and i dont find a shop that have them on stock. I must order it from amerika and it will take a couple of weeks when i have them. So i must be sure that it is the right one i will order because its not possible to send them back or sell them. When i put the right gears in, will my dodge accelerate like he was stock? I want that he accelerate like before or a little less. Now he is a slow turtle.

Save your money for when your axle snaps.....but 4:56 or even 4:88 if you can.....anything should be better than what you have in it now.

Wow - what a difference! Do you have a good shop there in Belgium that can install the gears? It is VERY important that they know what they are doing or you will have endless problems. With tires that big, you would be best with 4.88 gears or lower, but the lowest you can go in the front diff of the 1500 is 4.56 gears. Since the front and back need to be the same, you would have to install 4.56s in the rear as well. These would really help with those big tires. Here is a link to gears that worked for me:

Your stock ratio should be on a sticker/decal on the axle tube in the rear, either 3.55 or 3.92.
