Who can explain to me what turbo bark is? I know it is not a good thing, but why?

So basically its too much boost after the rpms drop, right? It blows out the extra pressure and makes that sound. More like a sneeze then a bark.....

Yeah pretty much... Its not a bad thing unless you start pushing more boost than the turbo was designed to take...

And there is to much blow off air from the turbo for the wastegate to handle....

Turbo bark is the worst thing to do to a turbo. No matter how much boost it is designed to take, it will still break or bend an impeller shaft. Barking a turbo is something to try to avoid
