I just got the build sheet for my truck and thats what it says.

Can someone tell me where i can get 4.10s and how hard they are to install?

Ive herd its pretty hard, if your not very mechanical...

Im swapping to 4.10s also, and im doing it myself...

Your going to want to have access to the tools for it, im planning on making my own tools... I know my dad has done a few, so im planning on having him help me if I get stuck...

If you set it up wrong you can count on the ring and pinion to be screwed... so its kinda a 1 shot.

its pretty expensive to get it done.

whys it so hard? what tools are needed?

my local shop charges $300 per axle in labor to change gears and then add in the cost of the gears you are looking at about $1500 to swap gears in a 4wd truck. For the amount of work involved and all I would rather spend that $300 per axle and have someone do it.

you need a torque wrench, dial indicator, dial calipers, and bearing puller
