To start off, I should say that I have only worked on sports cars. This is my first truck and my first diesel. How do I know if I have the VP44 Injection Pump?

If your truck is a 24 valve you have it, 12 valves have a P7100 pump, I believe it is. 24 valves are years 98.5-02.

It was originally bought in Canada. Does that make a difference?

You might want to go post this in the Diesel section. They should know over there. I'd tell you, but I've got a 2005 and don't much about the older trucks. You might also want to put the year of your truck in the post.
