Just installed that kit on my HEMI Ram. Love it!
The air tube has a hard plastic piece in it( where you have the hole and grommet )plus you get a 90 degree elbow & short piece of hose with the kit to attach the breather hose to. You cut the breather hose that goes to the factory air box lid and just insert the elbow. Then hook the short piece of hose they give you to the other end and to the fitting on the air tube.
Sounds like you will need to contact Volant to get the pieces unless you can find some that will work at an auto parts store.
