Hi guys,

I have about three months with my new D (XLT 2006), but I have noticed a sort of vibration on the truck when I go through small holes on road, before the D I had a Jeep Liberty and It didn't do that.

Do you know if it is a "normal" thing whit the D's suspension.

Thank you.

You could be describing a suspension system that is underdamped. While this is a common symptom of worn shocks, you may just be experiencing a vehicle suspension system that is designed for a smooth road ride.

Some vehicle suspensions have shocks with softer damping to provide a smooth ride at the expensive of performance handling. This was a common complaint of Grandpa's 1970's era Oldsmobile or Lincoln. Those vehicles are affectionately known as tuna boats for thier floating feeling that was very underdamped.

However you may also have some issue with the suspension that should be checked under warranty.

good luck.

You're right, I suppose this is a normal thing with this suspension because on highway it feels very confortable, but in the city streets I suffer a little bit ,

thanks you canyonD.
