I've seached for this so forgive me if someone has already asked (I'm sure they have). Can we do this without taking it in to the dealer? I want ALL my doors to unlock when I push the unlock on the fob once. I know the dealer can do it but it's a pain to take it in. Also, I tried the door lock trick in the book that unlocks all doors when the driver door is opened first. I can't get that one to work. The front doors open but not the rears. Oh yeah, I'm working on/driving an '05 Ram QC 2x4.

Just changed mine (04 QC 1500). The instructions are in the owners manual. If memory serves: Get in, close door, buckel seat belt, turn key to on (don't start) then press the the key fob (sequence in the manual - raining buckets here otherwise would go get the info.)

HORN CHIRP DISABLING / ENABLING
The horn chirp can be toggled using a DRB IIIt or
by using the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter
that is already programmed to the vehicle.
To DISABLE (cancel) the horn chirp feature:
(1) Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
(2) Fasten the seat belt (this will cancel the seat
belt chime).
(3) Turn the ignition to the ON position.
(4) Press and hold the LOCK button for 4 seconds.
Within 6 seconds with the LOCK button still
depressed, press the UNLOCK button. When a single
chime is heard, release both buttons.
(5) Turn the ignition OFF.
(6) Turn the ignition ON or wait 60 seconds.
(7) Test the horn chirp feature by pressing the
LOCK button.
If a chime is not heard, program mode was canceled
before the feature could be disabled. If necessary,
repeat the procedure.
To ENABLE the horn chirp feature, repeat the
above procedure.
OPTICAL CHIRP (FLASH) DISABLING / ENABLING
The optical chirp can be toggled using a DRB IIIt
or by using the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter
that is already programmed to the vehicle.
To DISABLE (cancel) the optical chirp feature:
(1) Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
(2) Fasten the seat belt (this will cancel the seat
belt chime).
(3) Turn the ignition to the ON position.
(4) Press and hold the LOCK button for 4 seconds.
Within 6 seconds with the LOCK button still
depressed, press the PANIC button. When a single
chime is heard, release both buttons.
(5) Turn the ignition OFF.
(6) Turn the ignition ON or wait 60 seconds.
(7) Test the optical chirp feature by pressing the
LOCK button.
If a chime is not heard, program mode was canceled
before the feature could be disabled. If necessary,
repeat the procedure.

Within 6 seconds with the UNLOCK button
still depressed, press the LOCK button. When a single
chime is heard, release both buttons.
(5) Turn the ignition OFF.
(6) Turn the ignition ON or wait 60 seconds.
If a chime is not heard, program mode was canceled
before the feature could be disabled. If necessary,
repeat the procedure.
To toggle this feature, repeat the above procedure.

Thanks a bunch guys. I was able to get my lock and unlock working the way I wanted. Also was able to get the doors to all unlock when I shut the truck off. I sure appreciate all the help. I'm off to install an aftermarket stereo and upgrade my console to the EVIC.

Scooby, where did you get your EVIC console? Am assuming you are upgrading from the normal console that has just the basic trip/temp display?

I found it on the famous eBay. I checked with a local salvage yard and they didn't (or acted like) know there was a difference. I made sure the guy I bought this from confirmed it was the EVIC instead of the OTIS. We'll see when I get it in.

I did the evic swap, mine was from an '02. This way I have the instant MPG, as well as all the extra featurs with the evic. Just another toy!!!!
