My MPG seems to be down on my Ram. I've looked over and fixed a couple of exhaust leaks. Right now I'm thinking I might need to replace my oxygen sensors, since I've got 122k on the odometer. I've read you should use NTK or OEM sensors. What about an NTK universal? It's significantly cheaper than the vehicle specific one with the clip. Soldering it doesn't bother me. Anyone use these?

I haven't used one before, but if you can solder it I am sure you could use it. I don't see any issues with that. Are you doing just your upsteam units?

There's 2 total. One up and one down. I was planning on doing both.

If it was a considerable amount, I wouldn't think about the universal. It'll be $60 for 2 universal vs. $180 for 2 specific.

$180 for two vehicle specific ones isnt bad. just think about the quality in a $30 o2 sensor vs a $90 one. there isnt a $60 markup for just a connector.
