Has anyone have the U-Connect option in there Dak. It was part of the auto dim rearview mirror. DCX is saying it no loner advaiable because it wont fit in the Dakota.

Thank you for contacting the Chrysler Group Customer Assistance Center regarding the U-connect hands free phone system.

I have consulted with our research department and learned that the Dakota Laramie is incapable of supporting the U-connect system. There simply is no room to house the unit due to other installed components utilizing the space where this unit would need to be installed.

It is regrettable that a more favorable reply can not be provided.

i have it in my 06 Dak SLT CC. i love it--that's a neat little system.

For what it cost you are half way+ to a new head unit that has Bluetooth built in.

That is the way I am going, no messing around for me.

My Flowmaster 40 will probably not allow me to use a bluetooth speaker phone cuz of the "noise"! Oh well!!!! lol
