my 2002 dodge ram intermittantly has issues with the turn signals.
if I turn the switch up for the right signal the left goes on, if I turn the switch down, the right goes on.
this happens on occassion but it needs imediate attention.
does anyone have an idea on what is causing this?
thanks,
lrf

Yes siree... I had the same prob on my '02 Ram 1500 QC - happened within a week of delivery and thankfully had a warranty on it - took it back and they replaced the indicator switch! All is well now! Hope this helps.

See this is why I LOVE this site... Little things like this..

Riviera and Dodgy, WELCOME to DodgeTalk! And thanks for the info here. I simply HATE little electrical gremlins. I will remember this!

Also, you might want to check under the cap of the towing harness that hangs down in the rear of your truck. Sometimes it gets corroded and funny things start to happen. Either clean it or cut it off and tape it up if you don't use it.

I had the same type of issue with my 02 Ram. It ended up being the 4 way pig tail in the back under the truck. Take a look and clean it if its dirty. Also put some dielectric greese in it. I did that never had an issue again. Hope this helps.
