I am looking to eliminate my factory Y-pipe. I am considering finding a y-pipe w/o a cat. They got rid of E-check here in OH so why mess with a high flow cat. Anyone know a manufacturer for one? I have also considered getting rid of the flow master set-up and going true dual straight pipes from the headers. I am a mustang guy am just getting into the 4x4 market. Speed is not a huge factor for me, but I am looking to keep as much low end torque as possible. The louder the better.

IMO = while it can be done, running true duals is kinda tough because of the placement of the gas tank

You could call around and find a muffler shop that mandrel bends to custom make you one ... just a thought

How to run true duals

-The black rectangle is a crossover-pipe. X will give a slight power advantage, but H will sound better.
-The red rectangles are cats, which you could leave out if you wanted.
-The green rectangles are mufflers.

You can get a premade X-pipe from Summit Racing for $90

Is it more hassle then it is worth to run the true duals over a Y-pipe w/o the cats? If so does anyone make one or do I need to get a y-pipe custom welded.
