I have a 2001 Dodge Ram with a comp cam in it new lifters timing chain and gears as well as open headers at the moment, if the truck is in park I can rev and it will go back to idle but the second I put the truck into gear and hit the gas and let off the truck dies. Truck is also idling around 600rmp

Runs perfect wit no tune other than a little rich cuz the downstream o2 isn't connected to anything intake duration is 206 and valve lift of .480 and exhaust duration at 210 with valve lift of .512 lobe separation of 112.0

the air metering parameters on idle may be different from stock. 600rpm is too low. so that rules out a vac leak.
you need a tune, imo. and you can adjust the idle stops.

I finally got it to return to idle after numerous failures but I will agree the tune is need cause the truck has no balls
