I was wondering if anybody here knew where a guy can get a throttle valve cable i believe its called, its the cable that runs off the transmission and on to the "in most cases tbi", but i have a carbed engine in my 91 ram.

The local junk yard where i live smashed all the old dodge trucks so i have tried going that route, was hoping somone knew of a place where i could just order a new one, parts store or something? If anybody has a throttle valve cable that they are willing to sell plz let me know cause id buy it. I was thinking bout having a manual valve body installed so i did not have to have that throttle valve cable i think its also refered as a kickdown cable or linkage, on my old 76 powerwagon it was linkage, but on the newer ones i heard they were cables. I am going to price some manual valve bodys, but im sure it would be cheaper and easier to get that cable, my transmission shifts way to soon without one and the truck had no engine in it when i aquired it and no throttle valve cable. I got the truck running and driving and the front seal went out on the transmission, so it has to go to a tranny shop want to have my ducks in a row with everything i need done to it while its there.
If anyone who reads this knows some things about transmission id really like to know what it was that caused my front seal to go out. i had a vibration after i got it going even while it was in park and idleing it had a vibration and i did not know what it was from, then as im driving down the freeway the vibration suddenly stops and thats when i noticed the smoke rolling out from behind my truck in the rear view mirror so i imdiatly stopped and looked and tranny fluid was just flowing out where th transmission and engine meet, was just curious if maybe there is a bearing there or something? or maybe i had a bad torque converter bushing and that killed the seal. Anyways any thoughts or input would be appriciated thanks all.

The 727/904 and cable operated 518 kickdown cable can be interchanged, the transmission lever on the cable operated has a small hole for a return spring.
There are several cable kickdown linkages made for the 727 that will work with the 518.
