I just cannot seem to Garage Break the Truck! It keeps peeing Transmission Fluid on the Floor!!! :nono
I have a 727 Transmission that keeps leaking fluid from the speedometer cable.
I have replace the Large O-Ring (6025752 or 6031370) and the Small Seal (2538588) and Cleaned it all up real good.
I take a drive and the next day a puddle is there about 4 inches in diameter. There is Transmission fluid dripping from the Cable only. I replace the seal again and put in two Seals, still same thing with only a little improvement.

Is it possible I need to replace the speedometer gear? Wouldn't that be the only place it would leak (Between the gear shaft and seal)?
Anyone else have a speedometer cable leak and the seal does not seem to fix it?
Ideas, Suggestions, helpful hints???:angle:

A727 Speedo leck

Replace o ring around speedometer gear shaft. Also check gear shaft for burs.

Thanks but I've tried that.
I guess maybe the Gear shaft but have an issue that I do not see or feel because Fluid is weeping out from that shaft.
Now the search begins to disassemble again to see which size gear I actually have, then buy one.
