i have a 79 power wagon with a 440 that i am gonna put 38 inch tires on i am wanting to swap over to a 4 speed manual and the guy i work with thinks its a bad idea to put a manual in an off road truck just looking for some feed back thanks

i prefer a manual trans. If your friend is concerned about water/mud around the clutch...it also affects automatic transmissions as well.

i know they guys up here that build bog trucks don't like standards cuz once you hit the clutch to shift theres goes your momentum. Me i'd prefer it, but I like that third pedal in everything

yeah thats what he said and i know hes right about the power loss but im like you i prefer third pedal in everything as well

Same here....will be putting in the 3rd pedal in my truck


get the lakewood bellhousing, it covers everything
