hello,
I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 318.It has 156000 miles on truck motor and trans.I have had the truck for a year and a half and it has had a shudder every once in a while in OD.Tonight on the way home the shudder be came constant in OD at around 45 miles an hour.The trans shifts great and I have changed fluid and filter.It only does it in overdrive.All help will be appreciated. thanks in advance.

Thats about the speed the torque convertor lockup in OD. Did you use ATF+4 fluid? It has friction modifiers that DexronIV doesn't have, and costs a little more than Dexron fluid.

yeah used atf+4 and adjusted the bands

also i just changed spark plug wires and distributor cap.Is there any vacuum lines or wires in that area that might cause this? thanks
