I got a temp gauge. I want to put it inline. I was told i need a T fitting to go inline and from the life of of me cant find anything like that...

anyone know what iam looking for?

Save yourself a lot of potential problems and put it in the pan, just make sure you pick a spot that gives you enough clearance. You don't need the problems of high preasure cooler line leaks.

More oil is almost always better, some of the after market pans have accommodations for a drain plug and temp sensor.

If you put the sender in the pan, your temp readings will be inaccurate. I spliced the line and used a swagelok brass fitting. The fitting is rated for use up to ~1200psi, more than enough for trans lines. I have no leaks.

50K miles no leaks. Compression fitting seal fine. Just take a small pipe cutter and cut a protion out of the line GOING to the cooler. This will reflect the most accurate trans temp (pre cooler) and let you know what temp your fluid is running. If you are unsure which one it is, grab them both after the truck was running....it will be the hotter one.
