I wanted to level out my truck so i figured I would crank up my torsion bars a little ( I only want to raise it about an inch ). So how long of a breaker bar do i need to turn the bolts? I couldnt get them to budge , any suggestions.

Thanks.

You can use a std 3/8" drive ratchet with a piece of pipe if ya want. If you jack the front end up and take some load off the bolts, you could probably get away with just the ratchet. When I did my truck, it just happened that I had a 3 ft breaker bar that made short work of it. Also, some PB Blaster or WD 40 a few minutes before you turn the bolts will help out some too.

i used a 18 inch breaker bar on mine i think. it was pretty simple, still required a bit of torque to get them to move. my breaker bar is half inch also. you dont want to use anything smaller than that i'm pretty sure.

You definitely should jack up the front end to adjust the torsion bolts. Even with the load off, it took alot of torque to turn the bolts.
