I just bought a 2001 dodge ram 1500 it has what i believe is a 6 inch lift and 35-12.5-15 tires and rims it looks really good but every time i back up and turn to the left or right the tires rub. Is this normal? Would it look stupid if i down sized to 33 s

Thanks

I think it would look stupid if you put 33"s on. I think there would be a lot of space around the tire area. I had 33"s on for my snow tires on my truck with no lift and I thought that they looked too small.

Where are they rubbing? If they are hitting the control arms, it a rim backspacing issue.

Sounds like those rims have the wrong backspacing and yes, you're truck will look kinda goofy with 33's. If you want to see what it looks like take a look at my gallery.
