NHRam said:Funny you ask this question. I just ran into this problem at work becase I sold a 2004 Escalade a set of 20's, and Escalades have the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). To make a long story short, we put regular stems on the 20's and next day he calls that his low tire light is on. Reason being that the sensors are not on the new wheels, so the computer reads 0 PSI. These were a set of American Racing wheels, and surprisngly the stock Caddilac sensors worked on the new wheels. Most aftermarket wheels are not designed to accept TPMS, but it is always worth a shot. I would defeintly have them taken off your stock wheels, just know that you will need another set for the stock wheels. To answer your other question, yes you will need to have them re-set at the dealership.
