Hello, just wondering where is the TIMING CHAIN located on my 1999 intrepid with V-6/2.7L engine? is it hard to replace it myself or does a mechanic need to do it? is there anything very hard about doing the job, or anything special that must be done when doing the job.....looking for insight on this , from someone that has done this themselfs. is there anyway to check a timing belt to see if it is in need of replacemment, or does should it just be replaced at certain mileage intervals...my 99 intrepid has 103,00 now and I am the 2nd owner of it, not sure if 1st owner ever had it replaced at 60K, and if he didnt now may be a good time to change it, just in case it decides to fail soon.
