I have a 99 w/ the 3.2 and I was wondering if I have a timing belt or chain?

I have 126k on it now and have never changed this part.. Any ideas as to when I should change it?

The 3.2 has a belt. Its due to be changed if its got 126K. Change both the belt and water pump, and check the tensioner pulley.

One says chain and one says belt..

I've done some research on the net but can not find a firm answer.. It 'appears' up to 98 they used belts.. And 99 and up they went to chains.. But I'm not 100% sure and the dealer ship is closed..

My sister's 99 2.7 is a chain. Don't know about the 3.2 though

Incase anyone cars it is actually a belt on the 3.2 & 3.5..
